T-Seals Design
T-Seals are designed to retrofit O-Rings, either in static or for use in reciprocating applications. T-Seals construction consists of a basic T shaped elastomer, usually flanked by two specially fitted back-up rings. Since T-Seals are designed to fit O-Ring grooves, they are available in different widths depending on the type of O-Ring, or O-Ring/back-up combination they are replacing.
- T-Seals have a T shaped nitrile ring, with two hard plastic back-up rings on either side.
- TRO style is a rod T-Seal that has a T shaped nitrile ring, with two hard plastic back-up rings on either side, and fit in a normal O-Ring groove, facing in for rod applications.
- TPO style is a piston T-Seals that has a T shaped nitrile ring, with two hard plastic back-up rings on either side, and fit in a normal O-Ring groove, facing out for piston applications.
- CPS style is a heavy duty double-acting assembly. They can withstand pressures up to 6,000 psi, temperatures from -40 to 220°F, and speeds of 4.5 ft/sec.
